I live in the midwest so our cold winters warrant a deep hole to get below the freeze line. I used 22 - 80lb bags of cement to fill the hole. I suggest calling your local cement company and seeing if they offer 1/2 yard pick-up service. It would have saved me a bunch of time.The assembly was pretty easy. I completed as much as I could be myself and found the instructions to be pretty straight forward. I could usually compare the picture to the part I needed and was confident that I had the correct bolt etc... You will need two people to complete the assembly. I had four men carry the assembled pole from my garage to the concrete pad and then stand the pole up. I suppose you could do this step with three men but I would not try it with less.The system plays great. The backboard is quiet with very little vibration. The height adjustment mechanisism is easy to use but certainly not something a young kid should attempt. When moving the height to 10 feet the last foot or so requires some effort. Overall I am very happy with the pole. My time investment is as follows: 4 hours to dig the hole, 2 hours for concrete, 3 hours assembly and 1 hour for installation."
